Land Acknowledgement
At She-Unite Empowerment, we recognize that every journey begins with a place and a people. We respectfully acknowledge that we live, gather, and build community on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anisininew, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline, and Inuit peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. As women from diverse backgrounds and experiences come together through She-Unite, we honor the Indigenous communities who have cared for these lands since time immemorial and whose histories, cultures, and contributions continue to shape Manitoba today. We are committed to fostering a community rooted in respect, learning, belonging, and shared responsibility. In acknowledging this land, we recognize our role in building relationships that contribute to a more inclusive and connected future for all.
